Moving on with MOODLE
For a couple of years now we have been using Moodle for our distance education programs. I for one have used Moodle for like 5 years and have seen the growth of the very powerful open source LMS. When I was in Australia ‘06 I had a chance to attend a Moodle conference but unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet Martin Dougiamas - the father/author of Moodle.
Anyway, with the rebirth of e-learning in my workplace we are still pushing it hard with Moodle and this time we are slowly moving forward by introducing it to faculty who are forward-looking and would like to take a plunge and be one of us. In fact, tomorrow I will be having a training session for users of our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) for them to make use of this powerful LMS in their programs. The training will start tomorrow and end on Friday (2 days at least) for the use of our VLE both students/teachers. With this, we believe that we can move on and push the potentials of Moodle to be part of our daily lives as educators… upfront and dynamic educators that is.
Cheers mate….
