Evening Students Headache
I had a long quiz for my algebra students last Monday. As I look at it they seem to enjoy every bit of the challenge. I roamed around and talked a bit while they are pushing their pens hard and pounding their fingers on the calculators. As the quiz ended they seemed to be very eager to know the answer… probably because they’re so sure about it or they just want to know if they pass or fail. So we went on with the solutions of the problems given and to my surprise majority thought it was very hard even if it’s not. And because of that, the solutions they’ve given were mostly overkill… Nevertheless, the quiz went well.
That’s about it… below are the pictures I took while they are taking the challenge…
To my mind, they are really contemplating on pursuing a career in IT or taking different track… well, not because of my subject I suppose but because of other factors. Nevertheless, I believe these students are really determined and can bring along the best in them… you just need to encourage and motivate them.
