Even I myself would use these tools for convenience and because it's mostly preferred. The good thing is I am using a licensed version (even it is an old version for my office-desktop) because our sponsor (funding institution) will not allow us to use pirated ones. Nevertheless, I am still using FOSS for my own personal box. Well, OK lang cguro na if you talk about preference :) and convenience. Yes it’s true. But mind you, there are almost (all) equivalent FOSS application to every M$ apps you have. The thing is, most M$ users here in DC that I know are using M$ PIRATED software (because it is very easy to download from p2p or torrent) which is a bit frustrating and annoying because they feel proud using these PIRATED software as if they legally acquired these software from authorized suppliers. Using a software without trying to spend a penny out of your own pocket is a mere admission that you want a FREE SOFTWARE. But these software that most users use are not for free (at least for most of you that I know). So, why not use FREE AND OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE?
