No Activity for my FOSS blood but with LiSA

For a couple of months I have not dealt into activities for FOSS other than attending LiSA 1( Linux Systems Administrators 1) training workshop conducted by Holden Hao (I believe it’s part of his agreement with IOSN to conduct a re-echo after his successful stint to get the LPI Cert … congratulations!!!) and DabaweGNU, Inc.

Approximately 20 tech heads gather to attend the training from newbies to advance (Pro I should say). It was a week long activity focused on the basics of Linux Systems Administration (from file system to email service setup and many more…). It was a very good experience for me and I guess for other participants as well to have a formal training on Linux (though I’ve been using it for almost 8 years now).

It is also a good time to meet friends in the field and exchange ideas and tweak shots :D. Good thing, most of the participants who are system administrators in their respective companies have extended effort as well in providing adequate light to some of the topics (although most of us are not talking about the basics anymore…hehehe).

Nevertheless, I look forward to attending the next LiSA for a more advanced technical training. Congratulations to DabweGNU and to Holden Hao. See you next time.
