My Horus RX Limited Edition
For a couple of years now, I’ve been using my RP Platinum Velvet Rydon (including this pic in my banner) with no frills and no fuss. I am very much satisfied with it and I am very happy with it. After almost 5 years, it’s time to say goodbye to my rydon which has done great things to me and helped me face the scorching rays of the sun wherever I go. It’s been a while since this posting where I don’t have an eyewear with me specially whenever I am outdoors. Because of tight budget and time constraints I wasn’t able to replace my rydon immediately. Good thing I have RP in my mind fixed without entertaining any thoughts of grabbing an oakley or any other brand. Why? Because I am very much contented and very pleased with the performance of RP, not only that… I haven’t seen a counterfeit RP ever since (I don’t wanna entertain that thought either).
Just this morning, we went to the doctor for my baby’s immunization and fortunately the queue wasn’t that long so we didn’t consume lotsa time in there. Lunchtime, my wife and my mother-in-law asked… “where’d yah wanna eat?” I said “anywhere near…” coz I got lotsa things (in my mind) to do. But the bell rang when they replied “we’ll just go to SM instead…” so I rev up heading towards SM. It’s been a while since I last went to SM, but for a couple of days or so me & my wife were planning to go to SM since I wanna look at RP and maybe look for a replacement of my rydon. Luckily, I had this day and fortune cookie is with me so I was able to grab my old rydon and gave it to the sales rep in RP to check whether they still have a trade-in stuff or replacement of some sort. In deed, they have given me a discount for a brand new eyewear. So I went on and looked all over the place. I was amazed with the Horus RX Multi LS Photochromic Polarized lens that May (the sales rep) gave me. Oh man… it’s really beautiful and very amazing… imagine wearing it and seeing something which others (and the normal eyewear) can’t see… Ooopss!!! it’s not what you are thinking.. Damn, it’s not an x-ray eyewear. It’s just a lens which extremely reduces the glare and will also dynamically adjust to the environment. Amazing, isn’t it? But the price is a bit jaw cracking (at least, for me) coz it didn’t come near my budget… almost 20 grand for a shade at that is too much for me. So I settled for a much cheaper lens but still an RP though less photochromic & polarized features but still with Multi LS and not only that it’s a limited edition version of Horus RX (racing red lens and red temple) which RP produced around a thousand only worldwide. Well, not too bad I suppose.
Here are some pics of my cool Horus RX:
