In Search For A Name

Until now we don’t have a name yet for our upcoming baby boy. Many of my friends are asking do you have a name already? They told us that we have to be prepared so that when the day comes we already have a name in mind and we will not have a hard time fixing the baby’s birth records :).

Sad to say, we still cannot figure it out. Benito Miguel is the one that me and my wife are talking about but it’s not yet final. When Harvy (my friend) knew about BM he suggested to add a “W” to make it BMW hahaha. “Walter?” not a good one I suppose.

For now we want to solicit from you guys as to the name of our upcoming beloved baby boy. Any suggestion? comments about BM?

BTW, my wife is due on the last week of November or early December so please guys if you have time post your suggestions now.

Thank you very much everyone. [poll=3]

  1. val,

Good suggestion about BM(Benito Miguel), it derive from our spanish era. Patriotism still on our mind as Filifino. Pls. add J.

  2. Boy,

    The “J” stands for what?

Thanks for the comment. Hope you’ll keep on droppin by.

    Cheers

  3. Paw,comment lang nako sa BM?? Bahala MO!! hahaha.

  4. Hey, thanks for dropping by at my site.

Hmm..baby name suggestion. Uhm, it depends on both of u and ur wife, sometimes the couple likes the old names or sometimes din gusto nila yung makabago. But if you’ll ask my preferences I would probably name my first born after his dad but would add a little difference.

Say for example my dad’s name is Artemio, we named my nephew as Thym. My late lolo’s name is Luis, my bro’s name is louie. My other nephew’s name is Nickolai, this is taken from my other grandpa’s name Nicanor.

Or else if you want, here’s a link for baby names:

Also one thing more about choosing names, try getting a single name..wag doble. Because there are some countries (like US), that don’t accept two names. I have two names but I dropped my second name para lang magamit ko na middle name ang apelyido ng tatay ko.

I know your’s is a guy so hindi magbabago ng surname, but just in case..or to be safe..

Thanks again sa pagbisita sa site ko. God Bless sayo and sa wife mo. Congrats sa baby ha.

  5. BM gets my vote mate.. sounds very exotic.. the chicks will be all over him already!! :)

  6. Thank you very much Dabawenya Babe for a very sound suggestion. FYI, Benito Miguel is just came from my father-in-laws name Benigno and Benito is a baby Benigno I suppose. I can’t remember where did Miguel came from :).

    Anyway, thanks a lot.

    Cheers

  7. Sir… gudpm
If i were u, i’ll continue the trademark of quimno, having a name that starts with letter “V”. Maybe try this name, Vince Joaquin.

  8. val! congrats! hmmm nice name nman na though old age kaau for a boy bcg magkundinar ang kalag nya pagdaku hehehehe gipalibog ba tamo ug samot? hmmm

depende man gud jud na bah sa unsa inyong usual na mahisgutan… i again second the motion on jorge’s suggestion with a V name… V for you and a LJ for joi…

    Vaughan (Welsh)(Small)
    Vijay (Sanskrit) (Strong and victorious)

    Jared (Hebrew)(The descendant)
    Jayden (English) (God has heard)
    Johann (German) (God is gracious)

VJ..kaw na bahala val oi..kung wla jud BM nlng jud anyway mao man jud na inyo first choice…

    Godbless!

  9. hi sir!
hmmm. renjiro sounds sooo unique. that’s on top of my list. i also find benito miguel astig. so that when his friends would call him, he’d be either “ben” or “migs”. very manly. hehe. =)

  10. I suggest the name Miguel Antonio.

    1. It would really sound good with the surname Quimno - Miguel Antonio Quimno.

    2. Miguel is a Hebrew word which means resembling God and Antonio from Antonio de Padua the Patron Saint of the seekers for lost articles. Surely, he will grow to be a God-fearing child.

    3. The name also has an air of masculinity.

Congratulations and God bless you more!
